Biyi Bandele, a seasoned director who directed the movie adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie‘sHalf of a Yellow Sun, intends to add colour to this year’s Felabration with a selection of memorable photos taken over the past 25 years.
Breathtaking and iconic images, like when Fela performed at Lekki Sunsplah concert in 1991 – with eight-year-old Seun Kuti opening for him, will all be on display at Thursday’s exhibition.
The exhibition will also showcase many artists whose music and vision have been inspired byAbami Eda, such as Tony Allen, reggae star Alpha Blondy, and other African greats.
