Boko Haram Frees 21 Chibok School Girls


The BBC reported Thursday morning, the release of 21 of the 219 girls abducted by militants of the Boko Haram insurgency group from Chibok Secondary School in Borno State, North East Nigeria.

The report which cited an unnamed government ‎official who craved anonymity because government was yet to make an official statement, said the source was not forthcoming about how the girls regained freedom, 30 months their abduction.

The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had indicated willingness to negotiate with the insurgents for the release of 250 girls who were abducted in ‎April 2014.

The rescued girls are ‎believed to now be with the security services in Maiduguri.
Their release is coming just 24 hours after the international day of the girl child.
